Bergey wind turbines are built to order and typically shipped within 2 - 8 weeks.  

  They can be purchased directly from the factory  under our Bergey.Direct program or through our nationwide network of Certified Dealers and Resellers.  

  The choice of which option is best for you is basically a trade-off between costs and involvement. The wind system is basically a big "Erector Set (TM)", but installation does involve obtaining the necessary permits, pouring concrete foundations, constructing a wire run from the tower to your house, installing and connecting the electronics, and assembling and erecting the turbine and tower.  BWC has safe turbine erection procedures that allow all of the assembly work to be done on the ground.  A light-duty crane is then used to lift the system to vertical.  We have complete installation manuals for each product.

CERTIFIED DEALERS

  Installations from Certified Dealers are the easiest, fastest, and simplest path to a working wind turbine installation.  Certified dealers will provide full warranty coverage for 5-years and they are familiar with the often difficult permitting processes in California.   

  Certified Dealers have typically received factory training on the installation and servicing of Bergey wind energy systems.  They can provide a complete “turnkey” installation and will enhance the Bergey warranty by providing on-site service.  Typically, Certified Dealers install systems within a 75-mile radius of their offices.  Click here for a list of California Certified Dealers.  Our listings include full contact information and hot-linked e-mail addresses.

RESELLERS

  Factory authorized resellers are dealers that are typically not involved with the installation process or after-sales support.  However, resellers offer a broad range of products and they often have extensive experience with solar energy products.  Many resellers have catalogs and large mailing lists that allow them to reach people who would not otherwise hear of Bergey products.  However, our experience is that resellers often lack the experience with wind systems that would enable them to differentiate between light-weight, less rugged turbine designs and more rugged and dependable products such as Bergey turbines.  Bergey WindPower fully supports its Resellers network and we often assist these companies in integrating a Bergey turbine in a complete hybrid power package.  Click here for a list of Resellers. 

  Our factory direct program offers you support services directly from Bergey WindPower Co.  We provide design and planning assistance, installation advice, detailed installation manuals, and information on subcontracting the more difficult parts of the job. Please note, however, that the CEC rebates are ~ 15% less for self-installed systems.  Please refer to the CEC program guidelines or call BWC for details.

  For a modest additional charge, we can even provide a factory-certified technician to oversee your installation (after foundations and the wire run have been completed).  Systems purchased directly, however, do not include on-site warranty support.  Since Bergey wind systems do not require any scheduled maintenance and are extremely reliable, direct purchase customers have been quite satisfied with their after-sales support situation.  

  You can purchase a Bergey wind system and any necessary special equipment directly by contacting  our sales staff at 1-405-364-4212.  On a direct purchase we ask for a deposit when you place your order and we require the balance of full payment just prior to shipment.  Payments can be made via credit cards, via bank transfers, or by check.  Direct purchases outside Oklahoma may avoid state and local sales taxes.  

  On a direct purchase we can also submit the CEC Rebate Reservation Form on your behalf after preparing a proforma invoice (quotation) and obtaining a copy of your utility bill.  Often customers choose to have the CEC rebate paid directly to Bergey Windpower, which greatly reduces their upfront cash requirements.
