In this section you will find a number of articles, FAQ's, and presentations on a variety of subjects relating to small wind systems. Most were prepared by Mike Bergey for magazines, conferences, seminars, or use in training programs. Since 1978, Mike Bergey has presented hundreds of speeches, seminars, and workshops at energy conferences and to numerous U.S. government agencies, the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program, and to dozens of foreign governments.

Bergey Windpower Dealer Training Workshops These 3-day workshops are held in Norman, Oklahoma. In addition to our dealers, we have also had customers, educators, and government officials attend these workshops. The next workshop will be held in mid-2007. Click here for further information.
Hands-on Training Courses in Small Wind Systems We also recommend the courses taught by Mick Sagrillo and offered through various organizations. Mick Sagrillo established Lake Michigan Wind & Sun, one of the nations largest dealers for new and used wind generators, in 1981. He has been involved in over 700 wind turbine installation projects and has written extensively for Home Power magazine and the American Wind Energy Association. He's an engaging instructor with a tremendous body of experience to draw upon.

AEI Wind Course CD-ROM This CD-ROM, "Wind Energy and Wind Turbines", provides a tremendous amount of training material on all aspects of large and small wind power, wind characteristics, instrumentation, design of wind turbines, electrical aspects, system performance, and siting. And, it is a fantastic bargain at $25. Dr. Vaughn Nelson, Ken Starcher, and the AEI staff have been deeply involved with wind energy since the early 1970's and they are very well respected by the industry.
